I get this question all the time: “What is Contemporary Glamour photo shoot”? It is the best experience you can receive in my studio. But let me get into more details. The idea about offering Contemporary Glamour sessions to my clients was born while admiring the work of Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair Magazine.

What I love about those portraits is the story they tell, the old Hollywood glamour and that cinematic look. We all gasp when we see a beautiful Magazine cover and think “Well, if only I could experience that for a day, feel and look like those women…”.

And then I though: “What a minute! This is possible and I want to offer this experience to everyday women. I wanna make them look and feel like the most beautiful woman in the room. I wanna help them reconnect with their beautiful inner light and for those who never thought they could look gorgeous - I wanna take them on a journey of self-discovery and self-love.”

I am a firm believer that everybody caries something special and has a story to tell. And I want to tell your story through my images. The beauty isn’t only on the outside. It is often the light that shines through the person’s eyes. I see beauty everywhere around me and I am sure I can photograph beautifully each and every person, standing in front of my camera. The only challenge I have is to gain your trust, allowing you to feel safe to show me your true self.

They all have something in common: they came to the studio very nervous and insecure, thinking they are not photogenic , but really wanting to have beautiful portraits of themselves. And once they saw their portraits for the first time, they all gasped “Wow…” with tears of unbelief and excitement at the same time. For me, this is the best feeling in the whole world. When I show to a woman her real beauty, I change permanently the way she feels about herself and this changes her entire life.

The Glam Portrait Experience

A Contemporary Glamour photo shoot with me and my team goes in three stages.

#1. The Design Consultation

It is the moment, where we get to meet each other and create your dream photo shoot. I have prepared for every client a Questionnaire, which helps me to get a better idea of her personality and ideas for the session. We sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while I ask questions like “How would you like to be photographed?”, “Who do you want to share this experience with?” and “What it means to you to do this photo shoot and why now?”. We go into every small detail from how you like your hair and makeup done to what wardrobe you want to wear, your favourite album to listen to and your favourite drink. At the end of our consultation, I provide you with a studio brochure on “How to prepare for your Contemporary Glamour session” with useful tips and reminders like how to do your manicure and what underwear to bring, covering every little detail for an amazing photo session.

#2. The Photo Shoot

It is YOUR day, when you get to spend the whole morning with me and my team, care free, because we are here to take care of you! We start the session with a professional makeup & hair styling of your choice while you enjoy refreshments in the studio. You can do the session by yourself or share it with someone special: your mom, sister, best friend, husband and kids. Then, I guide you through the poses. We take our time, so don’t stress! It feels more like a conversation with a close friend: we chat about life, adventures, dreams… we laugh and we cry and in the meantime, I take the best photos you have ever seen of yourself. This is my intention and a promise to you.

#3. The Reveal & Ordering Session

After your photo shoot, I go through the images and select the best ones (usually between 30 and 40 images). I then apply basic adjustments and get them ready for the Reveal session, which takes place approximately 2 weeks after the photo shoot. This is the most exciting part, where you get to see your beautiful portraits for the first time. You can return to the studio for in-person Reveal or schedule a Zoom call with me. It is important to mention that I don’t like pushy sales and always encourage my clients to only buy the images they absolutely love. I am only there if you need advice. Your portraits go home with you printed and matted, in a handcrafted, Italian leather Folio Box. During the Reveal session, we also go through ideas about Wall Art and different options on how you can display your portraits in your home.
